When Asa Phillips started Auto Ventshade(r) (AVS) in 1935, there was no way he could envision that, over 80 years later, AVS would be an industry force with an international presence. His company was built around the Ventshade(r), a metal device that mounted above car windows letting fresh air in while keeping rain and bad weather out. This gave rise to the invention of Ventvisor(r) and the side window deflector category. As the popularity of the Ventshade(r) grew, Mr. Phillips' son, Asa Phillips Jr., introduced the Ventvisor(r) side window deflector in plastic. In 1998, Lund International acquired AVS, taking it to new levels of success and innovation. Today, AVS has become synonymous with Ventvisor(r) side window deflectors, hood protectors, and multiple industry-leading products that help you enjoy and protect your vehicles. AVS specializes in quality products utilizing TS standards with on-site design and tooling resources. Known for providing style, protection, and comfort, Auto Ventshade manufactures other high-quality automotive accessories including Bugflector II(r) and Aeroskin(r) hood protectors, light covers, moonroof deflectors, and more.

It was 1987 in the Midwestern town of Humboldt, Kansas. Roger Baker was experiencing declining demand for his skills as a classic car restorer, and Joe Works had endured several tough years on the family farm. To provide for their families, they began applying their skills in a new way---building custom truck beds under the name B&W. They quickly recognized a way to remove the inconvenience of a gooseneck ball permanently welded in the bed of a truck. They designed a gooseneck hitch with the mounting hardware underneath the bed and a ball that turned over and stowed in place. The Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch was born. They didn't know it would revolutionize the industry the way it did, but today nearly every gooseneck manufacturer uses this type of ball storage and mounting system.
